robbery gang put out of action

Two criminals were shot dead when they attacked 4 policemen who stopped them while riding a motorcycle. The duo, one armed with a parang, and the other with a chopper were reported to be involved in more than 15 robberies and are believed to have robbed victims of their television sets, jewellery, computer and a Toyota Alphard saloon worth a total of RM300000. One of them had 3 previous convictions for robbery, theft and causing grievious hurt using a dangerous weapon. The 30-year old had been in and out of jail for most of his life.
